Embraer E175
E-Jet family · First flight 2003 · In production

The Embraer E175 is the most successful regional jet currently in production and the default aircraft for most major airline regional affiliates in North America. Entering service with Air Canada Jazz in 2005, the E175 carries 76 to 88 passengers in a two-class configuration, with a cabin that is substantially wider than the older CRJ family. This width advantage matters a great deal on routes where passengers would otherwise resist a regional jet, and the E175 has become especially popular on premium regional services with first-class cabins. In the United States, the 76-seat limit imposed by pilot union scope clauses has made the E175 the ideal aircraft for regional carriers serving Delta Connection, American Eagle, and United Express. Outside the US, the aircraft is used by carriers including KLM Cityhopper, Japan Airlines, and Azul.
